n <br />OCT 19 1993 BOOK 9.0 <br />Commissioner Adams led discussion about travel expenses, and <br />Director Pinto explained that the standard language of all EPA <br />contracts includes a travel expense provision. The travel expenses <br />should not be significant in this particular contract because we do <br />not have any out-of-state people coming in. <br />There was further discussion about various clauses in the <br />contract. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Eggert, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Tippin, the Board unanimously approved <br />engineering services work authorization with Camp <br />Dresser & McKee, Inc., for engineering services in <br />connection with preparation of the Sludge Operations <br />Performance Summary Report required by the <br />Environmental Protection Agency in a total fee not - <br />to -exceed $9,800.00, as recommended by staff. <br />CONTRACT IS ON FILE <br />IN THE OFFICE OF THE CLERK TO THE BOARD <br />COMMISSIONER TIPPIN TEMPORARILY LEFT CHAMBERS AT 11:44 A.M. <br />SLUDGE/SEPTAGE FACILITY - TRUCK SCALES <br />The Board reviewed the following memo dated October 8, 1993: <br />DATE: OCTOBER 8, 1993 <br />TO: JAMES E. OSIER, P.E. <br />ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEER <br />DEPARTMENT OF UTILITY SERVICES <br />SUBJECT: SLUDGE/SEPTAGE FACILITY <br />TRUCK SCALES <br />During the initial design phase of the subject facility, an accurate <br />measuring device (scales) was considered. At that time, it was not <br />felt that sufficient funding would be available, so the truck scales <br />were deleted. The project has been completed, and it has been <br />determined that funding will be available for installation of the <br />weight measuring device. <br />46 <br />
