Davis, P.E. <br />Public Works Director <br />SUBJECT: FINAL PAYMENT - VERO LAKE ESTATES DRAINAGE STUDY <br />DATE: December 27, 1993 FILE: vr,E WAL.aax <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS <br />In • 1987, Beindorf • Associates,• a division • of Kimley-Horn • & <br />Associates, was retained by the Board of County Commissioners to <br />perform a Master Drainage Plan for the Vero Lake Estates <br />Subdivision for the total authorized fee of $76,625. In September <br />1990, the Board approved the prelimary drainage study and the <br />county authorized.the consultant to begin the Final Design. The. <br />Master Drainage Plan was received from Kimley-Horn in November of <br />1992. The project is 100% complete as of November 30, 1993 and <br />Kimley-Horn is now requesting the retainage fee of $7,663.12 <br />RECOMMENDATIONS AND FUNDING <br />Staff recommends payment of the retainage fee in the amount of <br />$7,663.12 from Vero Lake Estates MSTU fund. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Macht, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Adams, the Board unanimously authorized <br />release of retainage in the amount of $7,663.12 to <br />Kimley-Horn & Associates, as recommended by staff. <br />PROFESSIONAL ENGINEERING SERVICES AGREEMENT - 4TH STREET WIDENING <br />PROJECT FROM WEST OF US -1 TO 500 FEET WEST OF OLD DIXIE HIGHWAY <br />The Board reviewed the following memo dated December 27, 1993: <br />TO: James Chandler <br />County Administrator <br />THROUGH: James W. Davis, P.E. <br />Public Works Director <br />SUBJECT: Professional Engineering Services Agreement <br />4th Street Widening Project from West of <br />US 1 to 500' West of Old Dixie Highway <br />DATE: December 27, 1993 fin48'P.agn <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS <br />The Public Works Department has negotiated a contract with the selected <br />firm, Keith and Schnars, for the Professional Engineering Services for the <br />widening of 4th Street as outlined in memorandum dated July 30, 1993 and <br />approved by the County Commission on August 10; 1993. The proposed <br />agreement includes the project scope of work. This project will <br />-compliment the Florida Department of Transportation's project to add <br />westbound left turn lanes at Indian River Boulevard and U.S. 1. <br />30 <br />F-7 <br />
