Davis, P.B. <br />Public Works Directc <br />FROM: Jeanne Brese <br />Interim Chie is Engineer <br />SUBJECT: 4th Annual Sunrise Bicycle Classic <br />Rotary Club of Vero Beach <br />DATE: February 17, 1994 <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIOPS <br />The Rotary Club of Vero Beach is planning the 4th Annual Sunrise Bicycle <br />Classic. The 100 mile, three lap bicycle race is scheduled for April 9, <br />1994. (A separate series of shorter races will be held on private <br />roadways within Grand Harbor on Sunday, April 10, 1994.) The race of <br />100 miles will begin and end at the Vero Beach Senior High School. The <br />proposed route is the exact same route as the previous years and the <br />racers will cover the following route three times: <br />1) 16th and 17th Streets at Vero Beach Senior High School over '17th <br />Street Bridge to SR AlA <br />2) North on SR AIA to CR 510 <br />3) West on CR 510 to 58th Avenue <br />4) South on 58th Avenue to Oslo Road <br />5) East on Oslo Road to 20th Avenue <br />6) North on 20th Avenue to Vero Beach Senior High School (16th Street) <br />The route proved to be very successful in the previous years. The <br />moving envelope of bike racers will be ushered by an official lead <br />vehicle, a Sheriff's car, emergency vehicles, race official vehicles, <br />Indian River Shores Police vehicles and City of Vero Beach Police <br />vehicles. <br />16 <br />
