"SONNY" DEAN, DIRECTO <br />DEPARTMENT OF GENERAL SERVICE <br />SUBJECT: INDIAN RIVER COUNTY COUNTY <br />ADDITIONAL SECURITY CAMERAS <br />BACKGROUND: <br />PROJECT <br />The Sheriff has requested additional security cameras and monitors be <br />installed in the new courthouse that will, according to his analysis, <br />allow the elimination of three staff positions that will be required <br />to maintain security in the facility. Using figures furnished by the <br />Sheriff, this equates to approximately $108,867 in salary and benefits <br />during the first budget year. <br />Estimated cost to add this equipment and necessary wiring was <br />estimated by our audio/visual contractor, not to exceed $45,000. <br />Staff recommends a change order to the contract with Precision <br />Contracting Services, our audio/visual contractor, to install the <br />above mentioned equipment at a cost not to exceed $45,000 and <br />authorize the Chairman to execute the appropriate documents. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Macht, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Adams, the Board unanimously approved a <br />change order to the contract with Precision <br />Contracting Services to install additional security <br />cameras and monitors in the new courthouse at a cost <br />not to exceed $45,000, as recommended by staff. <br />AMENDMENT 3 TO CONTRACT <br />IS ON FILE IN THE OFFICE OF CLERK TO THE BOARD <br />CONSULTANT SERVICES RANKING.
