at least 48 hours prior to the pre -construction conference. <br />xi. Once approved, the superintendent will not. be changed except <br />with the consent of the Owner unless either prove to be unsatis- <br />factory to the Owner or Contractor, or cease to be in the Contrac- <br />tor's employment. <br />xii. Promotion, transfer, or reorganization within the company will <br />not be an acceptable cause for reassignment of the superinten- <br />dent. <br />xiii. The superintendent shall have had a minimum of five (5) years <br />continuous experience as a job superintendent. <br />I. Specialists: Certain sections of the Specifications require that specific construction activ- <br />ities shall be performed by entities who are recognized experts in those operations. Spe- <br />cialists shall satisfy qualification requirements indicated and shall be engaged for the ac- <br />tivities indicated. <br />L Testing Agency Qualifications: An agency with the experience and capability to conduct.. <br />testing and inspecting indicated, as documented by ASTM E 548, and that specializes in <br />types of tests and inspections to be performed. <br />K. Fabricator Qualifications: A firm experienced in producing products similar to those in- <br />dicated for this Project and with a record of successful in-service performance, as well as <br />sufficient production capacity to produce required units. <br />L. Factory -Authorized Service Representative Qualifications: An authorized representative <br />of manufacturer who is trained and approved by manufacturer to inspect installation of <br />manufacturer's products that are similar in material, design, and extent to those indicated <br />for this Project. <br />1.07 QUALITY CONTROL <br />A. The authorized representatives and agents of Owner shall be permitted to inspect all <br />work, materials, payrolls, records of personnel, invoices of materials, and other relevant <br />data and records. <br />B. Owner Responsibilities: Where quality -control services are indicated as Owner's respon- <br />sibility, Owner will engage a qualified testing agency to perform these services. <br />1. Owner will furnish Contractor with names, addresses, and telephone numbers of <br />testing agencies engaged and a description of the types of testing and inspecting <br />they are engaged to perform. <br />2. Costs forretesting and reinspecting construction that replaces or is necessitated <br />by work that failed to comply with the Contract Documents will be charged to <br />Contractor. <br />C. Contractor's Responsibilities: <br />1. Repair and protection of work and materials are Contractor's responsibility. <br />2. Should any work or materials not conform with requirements of the Specifica- <br />tions or become damaged during the progress of the work, such work or materials <br />shall be removed and replaced, together with any work disarranged by such alter- <br />ations, at any time before completion and acceptance of the project. All such <br />work shall be done at the expense. of the Contractor. <br />3.
