BIG BROTHERS & BIG SISTERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY <br />"Children of Prisoners to Children of Promise" (COP) CSAC Indian River County <br />Grant: $15,000.00 <br />Funds Used as of 09/30/2017: $15,000.00 <br />Total Children Served as of 09/30/2017: 22 <br />Total Adults Served as of 09/30/2017: 22 <br />Taxonomy #: PH150.550-10 <br />Program Description: (3-5 Lines) <br />This community-based program provides one-on-one mentoring for children whose family <br />member(s) are incarcerated in state or federal Prison. <br />Collaboration: Indian River County School Board, RSVP, United Way of Indian River County, <br />Indian River Sheriff's Dept., Our Savior Lutheran Church, Gifford Youth Activities Center, and <br />Youth Guidance, Community Church of Vero Beach. <br />Comment/2016-17 Monitoring: (7-10 Lines) <br />No changes at this time. <br />GOALS/OUTCOMES REPORT (10/01/2016 — 09/30/2017) <br />Outcome #1: 85% of the target population, who have participated in "Community -Based <br />Mentoring" five months or more, will demonstrate progress in academic performance as <br />reported by the 2016-2017 IRCSB School Board grade records. Baseline: Grades of enrolled <br />boys and girls from second grading period of the 2016-2017 school year. <br />Goal Met — Twenty-two (22) out of twenty (22) CSAC matches have been mentored for five <br />or more months. Twenty (20) out of those twenty-two (22) matches have demonstrated <br />academic progress. (91%) <br />Outcome #2: 90% of the target population, who have participated in "Community -Based <br />Mentoring" five months or more, will maintain their status as a non -offender or not re -offend in <br />the Juvenile Justice System, throughout their time of BBBS participation, as Measured by <br />monthly parent/DJJ. Baseline: Offender Status of youth upon entering the program. <br />Goal Met — Twenty-two (22) out of twenty-two (22) CSAC matches have been mentored for <br />five or more months. Twenty-two (22) out of these twenty-two (22) children have not <br />become involved in or re -offended in the juvenile justice system. (100%) <br />Outcome #3: To improve socialization skills of 90% of targeted monitored 5 months or more in <br />the program. Baseline: Youth outcomes Survey Pre-test (YOS) upon entering program and post- <br />test results at one year anniversary of the match. Baseline date: pre-test results for each client. <br />Goal Met — Twenty-two (22) out of twenty-two (22) CSAC matches have been mentored for <br />five or more months.
