ON MOTION by Commissioner Bird, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Eggert, the Board unanimously <br />approved the transfer of jurisdiction of Indian <br />River Boulevard between 20th Street and 21st Street <br />to the State of Florida and 6th Avenue between 20th <br />Place and 21st Street from the State of Florida to <br />Indian River County on April 1, 1995. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Bird, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Eggert, the Board unanimously adopted <br />Resolution 95-05 to the Florida Department of <br />Transportation Requesting Transfer of Jurisdiction <br />of Certain Roadways Within Indian River County, as <br />recommended by staff. <br />12/08.95RES (T"OrtgWD/PWD <br />A <br />RESOLUTION NO. 95. 0 5 <br />RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF <br />COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN <br />RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA TO THE <br />FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF <br />TRANSPORTATION REQUESTING <br />TRANSFER OF JURISDICTION OF <br />CERTAIN ROADWAYS WITHIN INDIAN <br />RIVER COUNTY - <br />WHEREAS, 6th Avenue between 20th Place and 21st Street in the City of Vero Beach <br />is currently a state owned and maintained roadway, and; <br />WHEREAS, The Florida Department of Transportation has accomplished the <br />construction of SR60-Twin Pairs Alignment in the City of Vero Beach, Indian River County, <br />Florida, which utilizes a County owned and maintained section of Indian River Boulevard <br />between 20th Street and 21st Street, and; <br />WHEREAS, by letter dated October 6, 1994, the Florida Department of Transportation <br />has agreed to the transfers of the above mentioned section of Indian River Boulevard to the state <br />system, provided Indian River County is willing, to accept jurisdiction of the above named <br />section of 6th Avenue, and; <br />WHEREAS, Chapter 90436 of the Florida Statutes provides for transfer of jurisdiction <br />as long as the Department of Transportation and Indian River County agree to the transfer and <br />waive all rights to hearing. <br />JANUARY 3, 1995 26 <br />
