boa 94 FAu 364 <br />be included as an appendix to the Water Management District's <br />budget when it is submitted to the legislature for approval. <br />Chairman Macht noted that the County imposes that requirement <br />on itself. <br />Commissioner Adams interjected that a senate bill has been <br />introduced which would require the Governor to review the tax rate <br />increases, as well as their budget. <br />Assistant County Attorney O'Brien stated that he had attended <br />a meeting in Jacksonville and came away with the understanding that <br />all of the future spending and problems are really going to be <br />north of our area. He felt that very little land would be acquired <br />in our area, so a Basin Board would have the effect of at least <br />just paying for what we are doing and what we are using and would <br />not support the northern part of a very large district. <br />Commissioners Eggert and Tippin AMENDED THEIR MOTION <br />to include the addition of language requiring that <br />sufficient funds be allocated for property <br />maintenance and management of any lands purchased <br />and that the Governor shall review annually the <br />millage and the entire budget. <br />THE CHAIRMAN CALLED THE QUESTION and the motion <br />carried unanimously. <br />RESOLUTION NO. 95- 26 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, <br />FLORIDA, REQUESTING THE WATER MANAGE- <br />MENT DISTRICT REVIEW COMMISSION TO <br />RECOMMEND LEGISLATION CONCERNING <br />MILLAGE- INCREASES AND ACCOUNTABILITY <br />FOR THE ST.
