Section 02810 <br />Irrigation <br />with fill material, or otherwise anchored, to prevent floating in event water <br />enters trench prior to complete back filling. <br />.3 Substantial deviations from the piping layout shall be approved by the <br />Landscape Architect and shall be recorded as Work progresses and as - <br />built drawings of complete irrigation system shall be furnished to the <br />Landscape Architect as previously specified in this Section. <br />.4 Installation of piping shall be in accordance with manufacturer's instructions <br />and shall proceed from point of connection of supply. All piping and <br />equipment joints shall be watertight. Main shall be flushed and pressure <br />tested. All lateral lines shall be thoroughly flushed prior to installation of any <br />sprinkler heads. <br />.5 Pipe Sizing: The size of all main and lateral piping (indicated in inside <br />diameters) shall be as indicated on the plan. If the diameter of the pipe is <br />not indicated on the plan, the following criteria shall be used to determine <br />the pipe size: <br />Accumulated Theoretical GPM Pipe Size <br />as shown on the Head Schedule <br />0 <br />- 8 GPM <br />3/" <br />9 <br />- 16 GPM <br />1" <br />17 <br />- 24 GPM <br />1-1/4" <br />25 <br />- 32 GPM <br />1-1/2" <br />33 <br />- 55 GPM <br />2" <br />56 <br />- 80 GPM <br />2-1/2" <br />81 <br />- 120 GPM <br />Y <br />.6 Install blue or metallic irrigation tape 6" below grade , over all main lines <br />only. <br />3.12 Back -filling: <br />Over -excavation of trenches under pipe shall be back filled with clean <br />sandy fill material, free of organic materials and objects larger than W <br />diameter. <br />2 Trenches from bottom of trench to 2" above top of pipe shall be back filled <br />with clean sandy fill material free of organic materials and objects larger <br />than '/s°' diameter. <br />3 Trenches from 2" above top of pipe and up to finish grade shall be back <br />filled with clean sandy fill material removed by excavation, or, if required for <br />pipe stabilization, other fill material as recommended by the pipe <br />manufacturer. <br />02810-7 <br />Irrigation <br />State Road 60 and 43rd Avenue <br />
