Flavell, P.E. <br />CONTACTS BIDDING PROCESS <br />All communications concerning this bid shall be directed to Indian River County Purchasing Division <br />at purchasing@ircgov.com. <br />UTILITIES <br />FP&L <br />AT&T <br />Indian River Farms Water Control District <br />Indian River County Utilities <br />Indian River County Telecommunications <br />Indian River County Traffic <br />OTHER ISSUES <br />• Review and comment with questions and clarifications as soon as possible, no further <br />comments 10 days prior to bid opening (Bid opening is March 25, 2020, deadline for <br />questions is March 15, 2020). <br />• The Notice to Proceed tentative issuance is TBD. <br />• Maintenance of Traffic: <br />o Contractor awarded contract shall submit a Maintenance of Traffic Plan to the Traffic <br />Division for approval. <br />o Access for all businesses and residences shall be maintained at all times. <br />o The Maintenance of Traffic Plan shall meet the FDOT Index 600, FY2017-18 edition <br />and be signed and sealed by a licensed professional Engineer registered in the state <br />of Florida. <br />• Remove subsoil that is determined by the County to be unsuitable for use within the <br />roadway envelope. The soil shall be disposed of offsite by the Contractor, or this material <br />may be utilized outside the roadway envelope if deemed appropriate by the County. <br />• Sidewalk construction - true 6" thick concrete, 2% max. slope (no tolerance). <br />• PERMITS — Indian River Farms Water Control District — Permit Nos. 18-02 and 18-03. <br />St Johns River Water Management District - Exempt. <br />• The testing lab the County will use will be determined by the County after the bid is <br />awarded. <br />• Project work hours are 7:00 AM -5:00 PM, Monday -Friday. <br />• Material storage and staging areas. <br />PROJECT REQUIREMENTS <br />• Invoicing shall be submitted on a monthly basis. Project will be run through E -Builder <br />project management software. <br />• Contractors must meet deadlines in order to be in compliance.
