IRC-1838 Indian River County <br />Main Library <br />Roof Replacement 01 33 00-1 Submittal Procedures <br />SECTION 01 33 00 <br />SUBMITTAL PROCEDURES <br />PART 1 GENERAL <br />1.01 SECTION INCLUDES <br />A. This Section includes administrative and procedural requirements for submitting Shop <br />Drawings, Product Data, Samples, and other miscellaneous submittals. <br />1.02 SUBMITTAL PROCEDURE <br />A. General: The Contractor is responsible for providing the submittals to the Owner. Each <br />submittal must be accepted in writing prior to commencement of work. <br />B. Submission Requirements: Submit all required submittals electronically in pdf format to <br />the Owner for review. The submittals will then be returned electronically to the <br />Contractor with comments. Final submittals will require written responses to all <br />Construction Document submittal comments. <br />C. Processing Time: Allow time for submittal review, including time for resubmittals, as <br />specified below. Time for review shall commence on Owner's receipt of submittal. <br />1. Initial Review: Allow 7 work days for initial review of submittals. <br />2. Allow 7 work days for processing each resubmittal. <br />3. No extension of the Contract Time will be authorized because of failure to <br />transmit submittals enough in advance of the Work to permit processing. <br />D. Deviations: Highlight, encircle, or otherwise identify deviations from the Contract <br />Documents on submittals and provide letter describing in detail any proposed changes, <br />substitutions, or deviations from the project or manufacturer’s specifications. A written <br />explanation of why substitutions should be considered is required and shall be included <br />under the appropriate tab. <br />E. Transmittal and Identification: Package submittals appropriately and include a title page <br />and/or pdf bookmark for each numbered schedule of submittal item identified below. <br />Owner will discard submittals received from sources other than Contractor. Include <br />Contractor's certification stating that information submitted complies with requirements of <br />the Contract Documents. <br />F. Use for Construction: Use only final submittals with mark indicating action taken by <br />Owner in connection with construction. <br />1.03 SCHEDULE OF SUBMITTALS <br />A. Refer to the applicable specification section for complete list of submittal requirements for <br />each section. <br />B. The following submittal items shall be submitted electronically with a title page and/or pdf <br />bookmark for each submittal item to meet the requirements specified herein: <br />1. Roof Manufacturer’s Acknowledgment Form (Section 00 62 33) <br />2. Quality Requirements (Section 01 40 00) <br />a. Copy of Construction Permit <br />3. Closeout Procedures
