Work of all trades under this contract shall be closely <br />coordinated in such a manner as to obtain the best possible workmanship for the entire <br />project. All components of the work shall be installed in accordance with the best practices <br />of the particular trade. The Contractor is responsible to advise the Owner sufficiently in <br />advance of operations to allow for assignment of personnel. <br />C. Materials or methods described by words which, when applied, have a well known technical <br />or trade meaning will be held to refer to such recognized standard. Standard specifications <br />or manufacturer’s literature, when referenced, shall be of the latest revision or printing un- <br />less otherwise stated, and are intended to establish the minimum requirements acceptable. <br />D. All materials shall be new, all materials and workmanship shall be in every respect in ac- <br />cordance with the best modern practice. <br />E. When special makes or grades of material which are normally packaged by the supplier or <br />manufacturer are specified or accepted, such materials shall be delivered to the site in <br />original packages or containers with seals unbroken and labels intact and shall not be <br />opened until inspected and approved by the Engineer/Owner. <br />F. The Contractor’s Foreman or Superintendent to maintain one complete set of the contract <br />documents and approved submittals on the job site. <br />G. Contractor shall be responsible to correct deficiencies identified by Engineer/Owner and <br />non-conforming work within 24 hours of receipt of notification, either verbally or written, <br />and submit a plan of action for addressing the deficiencies and non-conforming work. Fur- <br />ther tear-off or commencement of other work shall not occur until all deficiencies and non- <br />conforming work are properly addressed. <br />H. At any time during the construction and completion of work covered by these Specifica- <br />tions, if the conduct of any workman of the various crafts be determined unsuitable or a <br />nuisance to the Owner or Engineer, or if the workman be considered incompetent or detri- <br />mental to the work, the Contractor shall order such party removed immediately from the <br />grounds with the person not returning at any time during the course of work on the project. <br />I. Specialists: Certain sections of the Specifications require that specific construction activi- <br />ties shall be performed by entities who are recognized experts in those operations. Spe- <br />cialists shall satisfy qualification requirements indicated and shall be engaged for the ac- <br />tivities indicated. <br />J. Testing Agency Qualifications: An agency with the experience and capability to conduct <br />testing and inspecting indicated, as documented by ASTM E 548, and that specializes in <br />types of tests and inspections to be performed. <br />K. Fabricator Qualifications: A firm experienced in producing products similar to those indi- <br />cated for this Project and with a record of successful in-service performance, as well as <br />sufficient production capacity to produce required units. <br />L. Factory-Authorized Service Representative Qualifications: An authorized representative <br />of manufacturer who is trained and approved by manufacturer to inspect installation of <br />manufacturer's products that are similar in material, design, and extent to those indicated <br />for this Project. <br />1.06 QUALITY CONTROL <br />A. The authorized representatives and agents of Owner shall be permitted to inspect all work, <br />materials, payrolls, records of personnel, invoices of materials, and other relevant data and <br />records.
