Contractor shall provide temporary protection of building interior and contents to prevent <br />damage. <br />3.3 STEEL DECK REMEDIATION <br />A. Corrosion Degree 1: <br />1. Remove all loose dirt, rust, moisture, grease or other contaminants from the <br />surface with a power wire brush. <br />2. Vacuum the roof deck surface clean. <br />3. Properly mix deck repair coating according to manufacturer’s recommendations. <br />4. Do not mix more material than can be used in the materials expected pot life. <br />5. Material should be from 50˚ F to 90˚ F for optimum application. <br />6. Brush or roller apply deck repair coating as recommended by manufacturer. <br />7. Allow coating to dry a minimum of 30 minutes. Coating shall be dry to touch before <br />roof insulation is installed. <br />B. Corrosion Degree 2: <br />1. Remove all loose dirt, rust, moisture, grease or other contaminants from the <br />surface with a power wire brush. <br />2. Vacuum the roof deck surface clean. <br />3. Properly mix deck repair coating according to manufacturer’s recommendations. <br />4. Do not mix more material than can be used in the materials expected pot life. <br />5. Material should be from 50˚ F to 90˚ F for optimum application. <br />6. Brush or roller apply deck repair coating as recommended by manufacturer. <br />7.
