BOOK 94 F -At, 754 <br />representative of the local area. In-house staff and <br />representatives of the City of Vero Beach have gone over the RFP <br />and have provided* assistance. The anticipated benefits are <br />critical looks at proposed projects, land -use scenarios, estimated <br />revenues and costs over a period of time. This would also be a <br />good tool to use in evaluating economic development incentives. <br />This proposal has been presented to the Economic Development <br />Council, who unanimously approved and recommended the proposal to <br />the Board. <br />Commissioner Adams felt it is a very exciting plan and offers <br />incredible potential and benefits to the County. <br />THE CHAIRMAN CALLED THE QUESTION and the <br />motion carried unanimously. <br />D. Release of Easement/Mehlman <br />The Board reviewed a Memorandum of March 27, 1995: <br />TO: Board,of County Commissioners <br />FROM: Terrence P. O'Brien, Assistant County Attorneyfo <br />DATE: March 27, 1995 - <br />SUBJECT : Release of Easement <br />The County has received a request for release of easement from <br />Paul and Karen Mehlman (copy attached), The County has never had <br />any interest in the easement sought to be released (see attached <br />memorandum from Charles A. Cramer) . <br />The structure on the Mehlman property encroaches into the <br />easement and, apparently, the title company will not insure title unless <br />the County releases whatever interest it may have in the <br />easement -which is none. <br />Staff recommends that the Board of County Commissioners <br />authorize the Chairman to execute the attached quit claim deed. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Eggert, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Bird, the Board unanimously approved <br />and authorized the Chairman to execute the Release <br />of Easement and, Quit Claim Deed,, as recommended by <br />staff. <br />RELEASE AND DEED ARE ON FILE IN THE OFFICE OF -THE <br />CLERK TO THE BOARD <br />APRIL 49 1995 6 <br />
