50 <br />1 "(1) IN' GENERAL.—Not later than 60 months <br />2 after the date of enactment of the National Flood <br />3 Insurance Reform Act of 1993, the Director shall, <br />4 using erosion rate information and other historical <br />5 data, assess, identify, and map all erosion hazard <br />6 areas. <br />7 '"(2) MAPPING PRIORITIES.—Not later than 2 <br />8 years after the date of enactment of the National <br />9 Flood Insurance Reform Act of 1993, the Director <br />10 shall determine areas that are at greatest risk from <br />11 erosion and assess, identify, and map the erosion <br />12 hazard areas in these areas. <br />13 "(3) CONSIDERATION OF MITIGATION ACTI11I- <br />14 TIER.—In identifying and mapping' erosion hazard <br />15 areas, the Director shall determine erosion rates <br />16 based on the presence of any community erosion <br />17 control measures and erosion of the area in the ab - <br />18 sence of the project. The Director shall use the lower <br />19 estimated erosion rate in the determination of ero- <br />20 sion hazard areas. <br />21 "(4) TRANSITION.—Until the Director has as. <br />22 sensed, identified, and mapped erosion rate data for <br />23 a. community, the community may obtain, review, <br />24 and reasonably use erosion rate information or other <br />25 historical data available from other Federal, State, <br />•8 140 1s � <br />
