Competencies: <br /> Frontline employees and management competence within the SMS operations will be assured <br /> through continuous communication and involvement in the SMS as follows: <br /> Employees shall be: <br /> • Involved in the review of hazard and risk assessments and accident/incident investigation <br /> findings <br /> • Consulted when there are workplace changes that occur as a result of SMS-related <br /> activities <br /> • Informed of significant issues arising from the operation of the SMS at their site; <br /> including lessons-learned from hazards, near-miss reports and accident/incident <br /> investigation findings. <br /> Managers shall: <br /> • Be involved in the review of hazard and risk assessments, accident/incident investigation <br /> findings and department SMS standard operating process development <br /> • Coordinate workplace changes that need to occur as a result of SMS-related activities <br /> • Lead resolution of SMS matters at their department <br /> • Coordinate resolution of significant issues arising from the operation of the SMS at their <br /> location, including lessons-learned from hazards, near-miss reports, and implementation <br /> of accident/incident investigation findings <br /> 115 <br />
