Addendum 2 <br />• The following minimum bypass pumps shall be provided: <br />o 12 -inch hydraulic pump with floating suction <br />o 6 -inch hydraulic pump with floating suction <br />• Bypass pump discharge shall occur into some type of distilling basin to dissipate the pump energy <br />prior to discharge into the Lateral D canal. <br />• In case of an imminent tropical event, IRFWCD and IRC will require the Contractor remove the <br />sheet pile and all other non -permanent features and equipment from the limits of the canal until the <br />storm threat has passed. As such, it will be necessary to keep vibro-hammer and power pack on site in <br />case emergency removal of the sheeting is required. <br />If the Contractor desires to deviate from the above requirements, they will need to provide written <br />documentation from the IRFWCD indicating their approval or requested changes after contract award. <br />Flow in the canal is approximately 42,000 gallons per minute or 93.5 cubic feet per second at high flows. <br />The depth varies from 2 to 10 feet. <br />Questions and Answers <br />1. For the purposes of ordering our bid bond on this project, do you have a project estimate? <br />Engineer's Estimate is $384,005.00. <br />Concrete pipe companies are not making 12" RCP anymore. Should we quote 15" RCP, 12" X 18" <br />2� Elliptical RCP, or 12" HDPE? <br />The plans have been updated to reflect the use of 12 -inch Class II Polypropylene for the 430-174- <br />112 pay item, as discussed in the pre-bid minutes. <br />3' The county should add a section with regard to the sheet pile installation where the contractor has <br />to carry vibration monitoring as the sheets are in close proximity to the work. <br />The Contractor's requirements for the protection of existing structures is covered under Section <br />108 of the FDOT Standard Specifications for Road & Bridge Construction. Pay Item 108-1 has been <br />added to the Bid Form and Plan Summary of Items. <br />4' The existing MOT that is currently on site (conc. barriers etc.) is the MOT going to remain in place for <br />the contractor to use? <br />No. The Contractor shall be responsible for providing all of their own of their own MOT devices. <br />The County's devices will be removed in coordination with the Contractor's mobilization to project <br />site. <br />
