There was never a s
z
turnaround proposed on her property ; it was always within the 70 ' right- of- way on theplat r
of Vero Shores Subdivision . This is a very confined area . The County could not get
agreement from either Ms . Huber or Mr . Esposito for a turnaround solution . He then
addressed questions on a keypad permit being in the private right - of- way . There was a
problem with vehicles hitting it, so staff recommended a small curb which makes for a littleS
encroachment into the public right- of- way .
Environmental & Code Enforcement Chief Roland DeBlois responded to a specific
question about the location of the key pad right at the edge of the interface between the
public and private right - of-way . The curbing is the sole part that technically encroaches into
b , the public right- of- way .
A discussion about the key pad ensued .
i ,
Commissioner Adams asked if Mr . Esposito and Ms . Huber would be amenable to
a turnaround there and Mr . Esposito and Ms . Huber both appeared to be agreeable with that
suggestion .
a : - Chairman Ginn requested that staff give her an update on this every other week .
Dan Zicker, 2020 5 " Avenue SE , spoke as a Vero Shores resident and a Riverpoint
property owner who was only interested in fishing . He found this bickering sickening and
hoped the problem would soon be solved . He failed to see why everyone could not get
along .
Mel PUBLIC DISCUSSION ITEM — REQUEST OF JILL GEISZTOSPEAKREGARDING " GATE /WABASSO BEACH "I It
Jill Geisz, 113 Filbert Street, questioned the need for the new gate at Wabasso Beach .
She had spoken with Public Works Director James Davis who told her the gate had been
installed due to vandalism , because of the shark fishing, and that it would take an "Act of
October 16, 2001
135
11
r
1
j ;
Fd r`ti
e2 ...
