Community Development Director Robert Keating advised that he has met with the St . Edwards ' representatives and they are committed to working on a solution . They have tried turning the equipment off at night , put a wall up to try to reduce the noise and have sprayed some sound- deadening material . He explained decibel noise readings and that a reading had been taken by staff. Another resident has been taking decibel readings also and has learned the sound increases when there is a southwest wind . The St . Edwards ' representatives have received the result of a sound study they commissioned which confirmed the County ' s testing and also gives recommendations for reducing the noise levels even more . He understood there was another meeting later today with the interested parties to discuss the results and suggestions in the report . The prospect is that the situation will be helped . He felt that no action could be taken on Mr . Sinclair ' s request given the current codes and specific decibel criteria which applies to this type of noise . He hoped an agreement could be reached from their meeting . Although the noise might be within the decibel limits , Mr . Sinclair invited anyone to come to his home at 9 : 30 or 10 pm or at 6 : 05 am on a Sunday morning and witness the constant irritant noise .It has been 18 months and he felt it was time to solve this .
