Joseph A Baird <br />After reviewing the proposals the committee ranked them as follows: <br />I . I.S.S. Golf Services <br />2. International Golf Management, Inc. <br />3. Golf Art <br />4. Environmental Care, Inc./Golf Management <br />5. MDI (Mark Dunning Industries) <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />The committee requests permission, per Article 40 of the RFP, to negotiate with the two hightest <br />ranking firms, I.S.S. Golf Services and International Golf Management. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Eggert, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Bird, the Board unanimously authorized <br />negotiations with the two highest ranking firms, <br />I.S.S. Golf Services and International Golf <br />Management, as recommended by staff. <br />FIRE HYDRANTS <br />The Board reviewed the following memo dated 2/14/96: <br />TO: Members of the Board <br />of County Commissioners <br />DATE: February 14, 1996 <br />SUBJECT: FIRE HYDRANTS <br />FROM: Joseph A. Bair •'� <br />OMB Director \ <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS <br />The issue of the Emergency Service District paying for hydrant fees to Utilities was discussed during the <br />1995/96 budget hearing. It was decided that the fee would remain status quo for the 1995/96 fiscal year <br />and the County would have an independent evaluation of the fee done for the 1996/97 fiscal year. <br />David M. Griffith and Associates, Ltd. (D.M.G.) on behalf of the Florida Counties Foundation does full <br />cost allocation for counties at a reduced cost. D.M.G. has sent Indian River County a proposal to review <br />and evaluate the hydrant rental fees for reasonableness, fairness and equity consistent with industry <br />practices. The cost would be $9,500.00. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Staff recommends the Board of Corm!LCommissioners approve D.MG to review and evaluate the hydrant <br />fees. <br />26 <br />FEBRUARY 20, 1996 <br />
