Childcare Resources of Indian River <br />Community & Family Services <br />Grant amount: $134,536 <br />Funds used: $134,536 <br />Total adults and children served: 290 adults and 9 children <br />Cost per child: $1,198.65 <br />Focus Area: Early Childhood Development; Building Parent Capacity <br />Program Description: The professional development program provided the education and the <br />support early educators need in order to implement strategies which create an atmosphere <br />most conductive to early learning. The program included four workshops with technical <br />assistance, on-site coaching, Conscious Discipline Immersion, center director support and a <br />credentialing program for early educators. The Wellness and Early Intervention Program <br />enables Childcare Resources to provide access to mental health services for families. For <br />counseling, the patient completes diagnostic screening, a therapist is assigned and treatment <br />plans are put in place. <br />Collaboration: The following is a list of collaborative partners related to Community & Family <br />Services: <br />• Agency Name: Mental Health Association - Program provides counseling and psycho- <br />educational evaluations to adults and children enrolled in the Childcare Resources program. <br />• Agency Name: Little Rising Stars - Conscious Discipline Immersion Program collaborative <br />partner <br />• Agency Name: EOC of Indian River County HeadStart - Conscious Discipline Immersion <br />Program collaborative partner <br />• Agency Name: The School District of Indian River County-VPK - Conscious Discipline <br />Immersion Program collaborative partner <br />• Agency Name: Indian River State College - Collaborative project with IRSC which allows <br />Early Childhood Educators to fast track their Staff Credential or Director Credential in one <br />semester at the Childcare Resources location. <br />1. Participants in the Credentialing Program for Early Educators success will be measured <br />using course completion rates. <br />Fall 2021- Summer 2022 Credentialing Program for Early Educators courses offered: <br />• Florida Childcare Professional Credential (FCCPC) students completed their assigned <br />course(s) = 28 <br />• Alumni Continuing Education = 38 students completed their assigned course(s) <br />• Program total for course competition: 68 students. 97% completion rate. <br />130 <br />
