1,140 <br />4 <br />proper evaluation, numbers, sizes, finishes, materials, and <br />performance data, hereinafter called "SUBMITTAL DATA" as required <br />to meet the standard of quality specified. Proposals shall not be <br />based on such items unless acknowledgment is made by the <br />Architect by Addendum as approval. Re!Qgests shall be submitted <br />seven (7) dqys prior to the for publishing Ad e <br />shall be reiected. <br />2) After execution of the Agreement, the Contractor may request <br />substitution of an item by submitting in writing to the Architect <br />submittal data, and directly opposite each item, the amount to which <br />he will agree by Change Order to deduct from the then current <br />Contract price of the Project. If no deduction is allowed by the <br />Contractor, he shall so state. <br />Sj Requests for substitution may be submitted by the Contractor within <br />fivg 5 days aftere ; however, under no <br />circumstances shall this procedure be construed to constitute <br />justification for delay in progress in any part of the work due to <br />pending evaluations by the Architect. The Architect's decision <br />regarding evaluation of submittal data of any item shall be final. <br />When a manufacturer is listed as an allowable substitution, it is implied that <br />the manufacturer produces an item which the Architect acknowledges as <br />being of substantially corresponding quality to that specified. The <br />manufacturer may produce items of lower or higher quality. Only these of <br />corresponding or higher quality will be acceptable, and then only after a <br />substitution has been requested. <br />TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS <br />
