40 <br />do <br />• <br />0 <br />5.3.2 Special Requirements: <br />5.3.2.1 Upon submittal of the executed contract by the Contractor, certificates <br />of insurance and endorsement forms in the exact wording and format <br />as presented in these Contract Documents will be provided to the <br />OWNER's Risk Manager for review and approval. The certificates <br />shall provide for the following: <br />5.3.2.1.1. "Board of County Commissioners, Indian River County <br />Florida" will be named as "Additional Insured" on both <br />the General Liability, Auto Liability and Builder's Risk <br />"A'll Risk" Insurance. <br />5.3.2.1.2, The OWNER will be given thirty {30) days notice prior <br />to cancellation or modification of any stipulated <br />insurance. <br />Such notification will be in writing by registered mail, <br />return receipt requested and addressed to the <br />OWNER's Risk Manager. <br />5.3.2.2. An appropriate "Indemnification" clause shall be made a provision of <br />the contract (see paragraph 6.36 and 6.37 of the General <br />Conditions). <br />5.3.2.3. It is the responsibility of the CONTRACTOR to insure that all <br />subcontractors comply with all insurance requirements. <br />5.3.2.4. It should be remembered that these are minimum requirements which <br />are subject to modification in response to high hazard operation. <br />5.3.2.5. Insureds must be authorized to do business and have an agent for <br />service of process in Fiorida and have an "A" policyholvei s rating <br />and financial rating of a least Class XI in accordance with the most <br />current Best's Rating. <br />ARTICLE 6 - CONTRACTOR'S RESPONSIBILITIES <br />Supervision and Superintendence: <br />6.1 CONTRACTOR shall supervise and direct the Work competently and efficiently, devoting <br />such attention thereto and applying such skills and expertise as may be necessary to <br />nnr#nrm thw Wnrk in ar.mrdanan with thy, Contract Documents. CONTRACTOR shall be <br />solely responsible for the means, methods, techniques, sequences and procedures of <br />construction, but CONTRACTOR shall not be responsible for the negligence of others in <br />the design or selection of specific means, methods, techniques, sequences of procedures <br />of construction which is indicated in and required by the Contract Documents. <br />CONTRACTOR shall be responsible to see that the finished Work complies accurately <br />with the Contract Documents. <br />6.2 CONTRACTOR shall keep on the Work at all times during its progress a competent <br />resident superintendent, who shall not be replaced without written notice to OWNER anu <br />ENGINEER except under extraordinary circumstances.
