d <br />4M <br />A. Residential Streets: in residential streets, the <br />Contractor shall, after completion and acceptance <br />of the backfill., construct a base course in <br />accordance with the typical section meeting the <br />requirements of the ROT specifications, Section <br />200, Articles 200-1 through 200-10. The top of the <br />base course shall be constructed flush with the <br />adjacent asphalt surface. Upon completion of the <br />base construction, it shall be primed and sanded in <br />accordance with DOT Specifications, Section 300, <br />Articles 300-1 through 300-6. Prime shall be <br />applied at the rate of o.50 gallon per square yard, <br />or as directed by the Engineer. <br />B. Arterial Streets: in arterial streets, the <br />contractor shall, after completion and acceptance <br />of the backfill, construct a base course in <br />accordance with the typical section. Upon <br />completion of the base course, the contractor shall <br />construct an asphaltic concrete surface course, <br />Type II, in accordance with DOT Specifications, <br />Section 332, Articles 332-1 through 332-5. The top <br />of the surface course shall be constructed flush <br />with the adjacent asphalt surface. Thickness of <br />the replaced course shall match the thickness of <br />the existing surface course. <br />3.05 EM ERGEN.CY REPAIRS AND PROCEDURES <br />The contractor shall provide the name and telephone <br />number of at least two persons designated by the <br />Contractor to receive notification of the need for <br />emergency repairs. These persons shall be available for <br />emergency notification on a 24 hour basis. The County <br />will provide the name, or dames, of its designee who will <br />be charged with giving notice to the Contractor when the <br />need for emergency repairs, or other actions, is <br />necessary on work that has been performed by the <br />Contractor. when so notified by the person so designated <br />by the County that emergency repairs, or other actions, <br />are necessary the Contractor will be given a reasonable <br />time t:o respond to the situation. At the time of <br />notification the contractor will give the time that he <br />will be able to take action to rectify the emergency <br />conditions. If this time is not satisfactory to the <br />County, the County reserves the right to have the Road & <br />Bridge Division make necessary repairs, or take other <br />emergency actions as required to restore the pavement, or <br />take other actions necessary. The County will invoice <br />the Contractor for the actual time and materials used in <br />executing the emergency repairs, or ar-tions. This amount <br />02576-6 <br />
