Except as specifically approved in advance by <br />the Engineer, re -use of forma shall in no way <br />r impart less structural stability to the forms <br />nor lass acceptable appoarance to finished <br />exposed concrete. <br />3.04 REMOVAL _ OF CORMS <br />A. General: <br />1. Minimum periods to form removal after concrete <br />placement shall be a follows: <br />Slabs and curbs 24 hours <br />vertical walls (4'--0" Ht.) 36 hours <br />Vertical walls (over 4'-0" Ht.) 7 days <br />2. Removal of formwork may be extended if deemed <br />necessary by the Engineer. <br />B. Removal: <br />1. Remove metal spreader ties on exposed concrete <br />by removing or snapping off inside the ria 11 <br />surface and point up and rubbing the resulting <br />pockets to match the surrounding areas. <br />2. Flush all Boles resulting from the use of <br />spreader rods and sleeve nuts, using water, and <br />then solidly pack throughout the wall thickness <br />with cement grout applied tinder pressure by <br />means of a grouting gun; grout shall be one (1) <br />part portland cement to two and one-half (2-1/2) <br />parts sand; apply grout immediately after <br />removing forms. <br />PART 4 - ITEM OF PAYMENT: <br />No separate Payment shall be made for work <br />specified in this Section; Payment for work <br />specified in this Section shall be included in <br />Payment made for other Sections. <br />***ENO OF SECTION*** <br />07100-3 <br />
