EI <br />11 <br />tl 2. Doors and ames to be cleaned thoroughly in <br />preparation to receive shop painting. <br />3. After cleaning and treating, apply a coat of <br />specified baked -on -rust -inhibitive primer. <br />PART 3 EXECUTION <br />3.01 INSTALLA'T'ION <br />A. GENERAL <br />1. Install new doors and frames in locations shown on <br />drawins. Thoroughly clean and prime prior to <br />instalyation, <br />2. Install knew window frames in locations shown on <br />drawings. Thoroughly clean and prime prior to <br />installation. <br />3. Prior to app zinc finish paintareas where prime <br />coat has been damaged shall have any rust removed, <br />sanded smooth and touched up with same primer as <br />applied at shop. <br />4. Field -paint doors and frames as indicated in <br />Section 09900 PAINTING. <br />B. Deliver the work, ready to set up and erect in place <br />as rapidly as the general construction work permits. <br />Set work in place in accordance with approved setting <br />drawings, in plumb and level positions, strongly <br />secured against displacement and with built-in <br />anchors. In masonry construction, set frnmes in <br />advance of masonry work. <br />C. Fastening: Secure each frame floor clip to concrete <br />floor with two 3/81, diameter cadmium plated bolts set <br />in drilled tamp -ins or self--drillinV concrete anchors <br />Install jamb anchors as called for in 2.02, B.3. <br />Masonry Contractor to mud in frame and anchor solid <br />with mortar with block walls. <br />D. Bracing: Brace frame jambs and heads receiving poured <br />concrete adequately to resist deflection; brace <br />frames in masonry walls & partitions adequately so <br />the walla and parLicions may be erected against same. <br />E. Install doors after masonry work and plastering have <br />been completed and accurately fit and adjust doors to <br />work properly, Application finish hardware & door <br />installation is specified -in Division 6. <br />3.02 CLEAN-UP <br />A. Upon gDmgly tion of installation, clean surfaces of <br />doors & frames by the procedure recommended by the <br />Door Manufacturer, <br />B. Clean up all rubbish & debris caused by this work & <br />remove from the site. Leave areas surrounding <br />openings in a broom -clean condition. <br />***END OF 7SEC'TION*** <br />08100-6 <br />
