40 <br />r• <br />CARPENTRYSE(,IIQN 6C - ROUGH <br />t 1, GENERAL: Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials and equipment necessary <br />E for the completion of Rough Carpentry work as shown on the Drawings and <br />hereinafter specified. <br />2. INSPECTION: The Contractor shall examine all work in direct contact with or <br />having an affect on his work. If any defects are found that would have an adverse <br />effect on the ercetion or completion of the installation of his materials, the <br />Contractor shall notify the owner in writing of the nature of the defects. If the <br />Contractor proceeds with his work without effecting such notification, it shall be <br />construed as an acceptance by frim of all preceding work. <br />3. Roof sheathing shall be .40 pef of CCA retention pressure treated I x 6's at 5' o,c., <br />using butt joint spacing (solid cover). <br />4. <br />THE CONTRACTOR SHALL supply and install alt rough hardware including <br />halts, plates, nails, anchors, brackets, spikes, screws, clips, hangers, and other <br />fasteners necessary for completion of the Work. Rough hardware shall be Type <br />:316 stainless steel. <br />5. <br />THE CONTRACTOR SHALL provide anchors, blocking etc. required by other <br />Sections to be built in. Provide grounds and blocking for all Sections, <br />+6, <br />NAILS SHALL be ring shank, stainless steel for all Work unless otherwise noted <br />on the drawings. Subdrill where necessary. <br />7. <br />REMOVE wood, including form lumber, scrap lumber, shavings, and sawdust in <br />contact with ground. Leave no wood buried in fill or backfill. Do not bum any <br />wood on job. Dispose of as required by the State of Florida, U. S. Agencies, and <br />Indian River County <br />8. <br />PROTECT wood products delivered to the Site from wetting and moisture gain by <br />storing on elevated sills and by covering with well secured waterproof covers. <br />1, 9. <br />PIT framing closely, set accurately to required lines and levels, and secure rigidly in <br />j. <br />place. Set horizontal and inclined members with crown edge up. Do not cut, <br />notch, or bore structural members without the owner's written approval. Bolt, nail <br />and spike in a thorough manner. Framing members shall provide foil contact at .Al <br />bearing surfaces. <br />J <br />k <br />6C - I <br />
