The Study will Insure that job descriptions match actual duties performed on the job. <br />The Consultant will Insure that the minimum qualifications are job related, nondis- <br />criminatory and that the sante standards of classifications are used across the various <br />County departments. <br />2. All job descriptions affected by the classification review will be updated. The format will <br />be designed with County staff during the study. <br />3. The job descriptions will comply with all State and Federal guidelines, including the <br />Standards for a Merit System of Personnel Administration (Office of Personnel <br />Management), the Department of Labor, Health and Human Services, the Equal <br />Opportunity Commission Guidelines, and the Americans With Disabilities Act. The <br />descriptions will be job related, without false barriers for employment or promotion, <br />and pertain specifically to the tasks of the job. The minimum qualifications will be <br />realistic and defensible. <br />4. Drafts of the position descriptions will be submitted to the County for review prior to <br />finalization.
