• <br />C] <br />f <br />• <br />Exhibit A <br />Program Outline <br />The project limits shall include the County owned Public Works Maintenance Complex <br />located at 4550 South Gifford Road (41" Street), Vero Beach, Florida, the School District <br />Vehicle Maintenance Facility located at 1507 19th Street, County owned property near the <br />South Gifford Road, 41" Street area west of 43rd Avenue and two additional sites on the <br />central County area to be considered as mutually agreeable to the County and School Dist{ ,. <br />The function of the Indian River County Public Works Complex will be to maintain a <br />full service maintenance and storage facility pursuant to the demands of the County fleet, <br />traffic, road and bridge department, fueling depot and school district, but remain flexible <br />enough to maintain a variety of additional vehicles. The existing County Public Works <br />Department Complex which houses lite Road and Bridge, Fleet Maintenance and Traffic <br />Engineering Division is located at 4550 South Gifford Road (41" Street) Vero Beach, Florida <br />in Indian River County. The department occupies approximately 10 acres of land on tate north <br />side of south Gifford Road and uses another approximately 10 acres on the south side of South <br />Gifford Road for employee parking and material storage. The existing complex and related <br />buildings are extremely antiquated and in need of repair, or in some cases, replacement. <br />The School District of Indian River County operates a Fleet Maintenance facility at <br />Vero Beach Freshman Learning Center site 1507 19th Street Vero Beach, Florida. The School <br />District facility is congested and in need of replacement. Both the County and School District <br />are investigating the feasibility of consolidating the fleet maintenance and fueling operations on <br />a common site. As a consideration, these needs may be shared by the new developed County <br />Public Works Complex. <br />The Indian River County Sheriff's Department, which is currently located on 41" <br />Street, will be sharing the proposed Fueling Depot. The new Fueling Depot will be located on <br />the 25 acre site and will replace the existing facility located on the 10 acre site. <br />The services of the Architect and Engineer shall include implementing the Building and <br />Site program. The building project shall include the development of two independent sites. <br />The existing 10 acre site currently being used and located at 4550 South Gifford Road. The <br />second 25 acre site located west of the existing site which has just been purchased. <br />The existing site will be modified to accommodate the Road/Bridge and Traffic <br />Engineering facilities. <br />The newly purchased site will accommodate the Public Works Fleet Maintenance and <br />the School Disixicx FICC Maintenance facilities. <br />k\HANSONMATATROJECTSIS WK%DA V 1 S.DQC <br />
