40 <br />40 <br />40 <br />D. DrDavid Cox (ecological and educational services) <br />4. PROFESSIONAL SERVICES; The professional service of the consultant team <br />shall be as follows: <br />A. Task I — site InventoEy (serve int, and environmental assessment) <br />I) Visit the sites to become farniliar with existing conditions, and to record on- <br />site observations for use in future planning and engineering activities. <br />Analyze existing vegetation, and identify any areas of specific concern, and <br />areas of exceptional value that should be preserved. Coordinate with survey <br />crew as required to locate certain portions of the site which may be designated <br />as "preservation zones", and others designated as "development zones" which <br />would be better suited to construction. Note: work on the Cairns site shall <br />comply with the approved Land Management Plan that indicates tile Majority <br />of the site as being a "preservation zone", due to the fact that it is vegetated <br />byaMaritime llammock. <br />2) All boundary surveys required for site planning and for permitting purposes <br />shall be provided by Indian River County. <br />3) Carter Associates, Inc. shall provide topographic survey data (for engineering <br />design) for each of the 3 County sites and the loop road to include the <br />following: <br />a) Lisser/Kennedy Site <br />Topographic survey (for engineering design) of a portion of the site <br />described as "Easement I" for Pelican Island National Wildlife <br />Refuge, Indian River County, Florida, containing 2.16 acres more or <br />less. Area to be surveyed will be a 200' wide -1 swatch within which <br />the proposed access road will be sited, and the area for the proposed <br />restroom, as determined by project Landscape Architect. This area <br />will be referred to as the " development zone". <br />Topographic survey of the "development zone" portion of the site on <br />a 100 foot grid, more or less and cross sections Of Jungle Trail, right- <br />of-way 100' on either side of the access point adjacent to site. <br />Location of all improvements on tile "development zone" portion of <br />the site and within jungle rraii right-of-way 100' on either side or the <br />access point adjacent to the site. <br />Location of significant trees outside of heavily wooded areas with a <br />diameter of 4 inches or greater at chest height within the " development <br />zone'. <br />Topographic survey to include water service, gravity sewer and force <br />main routing to be determined by project engineer. <br />♦ Miscellaneous topography and/or location as directed by tinid Smith. <br />Landscape Architect. Miscellaneous topography and location to be <br />performed with Brad Smith shall not exceed 4 hours field thlic, <br />including travel time. <br />► Establish State Plane Coordinates (North American Datum of 1983, <br />adjustment of 1990) and Vertical Benchmarks (National Geodetic <br />Vertical Datum of'1929) for site, as required by IRCDUS, <br />b) surmall site: <br />survey (for engineering design) of a portion Or tile site <br />described as "Easement 11" for Pelican Island National Wildlife <br />Refuge, Indian River County, Florida, containing 11.9 acres, more or <br />less.
