f <br />40 <br />geotechnical consultant who will evaluate the suitability of the <br />material for use as fill under paved surfaces. <br />b) Architectural Design — Edlund and Dritenbas Architects will provide the <br />following services, coordinating with their mechanical, electrical, and <br />structural consultants as necessary: <br /># Review the geotechnical report prepared by County's geotechnical <br />consultant (outlined above). <br /># Review architectural drawings to be re -rased and/or modified. Prepare <br />report regarding the adequacy of the existing designs relative to the <br />geotechnical Findings. Also, the restrooms will be examined for <br />compliance with the Florida Potty Parity Act and Standard Plumbing <br />Code, 1994, which has been adopted by the State. Outline any <br />modifications rcquired to be made to the existing design drawings. <br />Note: Any such work (i.e. modifications to existing drawings) will be <br />included in the Scope of Work. <br />* Review proposed public use area designs for compliance with the <br />ADA of 1991, the Florida Accessibility Act of 1993, and the current <br />modifications as provided through the Florida Department of <br />Community Affairs. <br />i On the basis of the reviews identified above, prepare preliminary <br />design drawings for all architectural features of the project. <br />c) Civil Design --- Prepare preliminary site design drawings on the basis of the <br />approved Master Plan. These will include information of site layout, <br />paving, and grading. <br />♦ Carter Associates will coordinate soils investigation (by others) <br />required for design. <br /># 'fhe stormwater management systems will incorporate dry grassed (or <br />vegetated) retention swales meeting the requirements of SJRWMD and <br />I RC. <br /># Carter Associates Inc. will prepare preliminary on-site and off site <br />water and sewer design drawings. It is anticipated that packaged <br />grinder pump lift station will be required at the Surman and Cairns <br />sites. Tile Lisser/Kennedy site will be served a gravity system, which <br />will tie to a master planned lift station to be constructed through a <br />developer's agreement — not in this contract) located on the <br />Lisser/Kennedy site adjacent to S.R. AIA. The Surman site will <br />utilize a force main to be constructed within Jungle Trail from the <br />Surman site to the proposed gravity system on the Lisser/Kennedy site. <br />The Cairns site will utilize a force main tying to the gravity collection <br />system within the Sea Oaks Development (to [lie north). An existing <br />water main within SR A -I -A will be tapped to provide water service to <br />the Lasser/Kennedy site, then routed down Jungle Trail to the Snrman <br />site. The Cairns site will obtain water service by lapping the existing <br />water main within Jungle Trail. No fire protection appurtenances or <br />fire lines will lie provided at any of the three (3) sites. <br /># Consultant will prepare preliminary roadway design drawings. <br />Consultant will define drainage conveyance and stonnwater <br />management system requirements, evaluate stornnvater manag,enncnt <br />options and prepare preliminary drainage conveyance and stormwater <br />management design drawings. The roadway centerline will be <br />provided by the Landscape Architect, prior to Carter Associates <br />performing topographic survey as described under 'Cask 1.3.d.
