M <br />• <br />ft <br />4) Meet with County to present final construction drawings and specifications, <br />and to discuss the bidding phase of the project. <br />G. 'Task 7: — Bidding and Construction Phase Services <br />1) Prepare bid and construction documents by providing a bid form and <br />specifications for site improvements. <br />2) Attend pre-bid conference to be coordinated by County staff. <br />3) Review bids received by the County and provide comments and <br />recommendations to the County. <br />4) Attend pre -construction meeting to be coordinated by County staff. <br />5) Observe the work of the contractor on an intermittent Basis not to exceed a <br />total of eight (8) site visits as requested by County to observe work progress <br />and to determine if the construction is proceeding in general accordance with <br />the contract documents. <br />6) Notify the County of observed deficiencies in the work. <br />7) Review and approve: <br />a) Shop drawings and samples. <br />b) Results of tests and inspections. <br />c) Other data which the contractor or subcontractors are required to Submit. <br />8) Monitor contractors progress relative to established schedules and report <br />status to County by preparing field reports for each site visit. <br />9) Project close-out shall begin upon notice from the Contractor that his work, <br />which is believed to be acceptable to the County, is substantially complete and <br />in general accordance with the contract documents. At this point in time, the <br />Landscape Architect and the Consultant Team shall conduct a walk-through <br />with the County's representative to verify that the work conforms to the <br />contract documents, and to establish a "punch list" of items to be completed or <br />corrected. <br />10) Upon notice by the contractor that the "punch list" has been completed, and <br />that the work is ready for final inspection anti acceptance, the Landscape <br />Architect and the Consultant 'team shall conduct a walk-through to verify <br />"punch list" completion for final acceptance of the work by the County. <br />1 l) If deficiencies are found, these will be itemized and a follow-up walk-through <br />will be made to verify final completion of the work. <br />12) Visits tar the purpose of project -close out as described above, are included in <br />the eight (8) site visits indicated above. <br />13)The Consultant upon the consensus of his salt-consuhants will review and <br />approve for payment the Contractor's pay requests. The Consultant will <br />review and make recommendations on the Contractors progress schedule and <br />work plan. Six (6) pay requests (one per month) and a final payment request <br />are expected. It is anticipated that the project(s) will be built on the basis of a <br />180 -day contract for construction. <br />14) `flee County recognizes that construction review is a vital element of a Design <br />Professional's complete service, provided to minimize problems during <br />construction. Should the County for any reason not relaill the Consultant <br />Team to review construction, the County waives any claim against the <br />Consultant, and agrees to indemnify, defend and hold the Consultant Team <br />harmless from any claim or liability f'or injury or loss arising front problems <br />during construction that allegedly result l'roin findings, conclusions, <br />recommendations, plans or specifications developed by the Consulmnt `fe:tin. <br />SPECIFIC ASSUMPTIONS Consultant represents to the County that in developing <br />this Scope of Work, assumptions have been made, and th.0 deviation front <br />Attachment- I I <br />
