f <br />40 <br />format and working presented in these Contract Documents before starting work. <br />5.3.2 Special Requirements: <br />5.3.2.1 Upon submittal of the executed contract by the Contractor, certificates of insurance <br />and endorsement forms in the exact wording and format as presented in these <br />Contract Documents will be provided to the OWNER's Risk Manager for review <br />and approval. The certificates shall provide for the following: <br />5.3.2.1.1. "Hoard of County Commissioners, Indian River County <br />Florida" will be named as "Additional Insured" on both <br />the General Liability, Auto Liability and Builder's Risk <br />"All Risk" Insurance. <br />5.3.2.1.2. The OWNER will be given thirty (30) days notice prior to <br />cancellation or modification of any stipulated insurance. <br />Such notification will be in writing by registered mail, <br />return receipt requested and addressed to the OWNER's <br />Risk Manager. <br />5.3.2.2. An appropriate "Indemnification" clause shall be made a provision of the contract <br />(see paragraph 6.36 and 6.37 of the General Conditions). <br />5.3.2.3. It is the responsibility of the CONTRACTOR to insure that all subcontractors <br />comply with all insurance requirements. <br />5.3,2.4. It should be remembered that these are minimum requirements which are subject <br />to modification in response to high hazard operation. <br />5.3.2.5. insureds must be authorized to do business and have an agent for service of process <br />in Florida and have an "A" policyholder's rating and financial rating of least Class <br />40 ?Gl in accordance with the most current Best's Rating. <br />ARTICLE 6 - CONTRACTOR'S RESPONSIBILITIES <br />Supervision and Superintendence: <br />6.1 CONTRACTOR shall supervise and direct the Work competently and efficiently, devoting such <br />attention thereto and applying such skills and expertise as may be necessary to perform the Work <br />in accordance with the Contract Documents. CONTRACTOR shall be solely responsible for the <br />means, methods, techniques, sequences and procedures of construction, but CONTRACTOR shall <br />not be responsible for the negligence of others in the design or selection of specific means, methods, <br />techniques, sequences or procedures of construction which is indicated in and required by the <br />Contract Documents. CONTRACTOR shall be responsible to see that the finished Work complies <br />accurately with the Contract Documents. <br />6.2 CONTRACTOR shall keep on the Work at all times during its progress a competent resident <br />superintendent, who shall not be replaced without written notice to OWNER and ENGI'N'EER except <br />under extraordinary circumstances. The superintendent will be CONTRACTOR's representative <br />at the site and shall have authority to act on behalf of CONTRACTOR.
