s! <br />PART 6 <br />SPECIAL PROVISIONS <br />1. DEFINITION OF TERMS <br />Where the following terms or their pronouns occur herein„ the intent and meaning shall be as <br />follows: <br />County: Board of Commissioners, Indian River County Solid Waste Disposal <br />District, Florida or its authorized representative. <br />Bidder: Any person, firm or corporation submitting a proposal for the services <br />contemplated herein. or a duly authorized representative. <br />Contractors The person. firm, or corporation with whom the County has executed a <br />contract with for the performance of the t%'ork contemplated herein. or it's <br />duly authorized representative. <br />Specifications: The directions, provisions, and requirements contained herein, together <br />with all written agreements made setting out or relating to the method and <br />manner of perforating the requested service, the quality of material and <br />personnel to be furnished under this contract. All applicable laws of the <br />State of Florida, the Federal Government and Rules and Regulations of <br />Indian River County are hereby adopted and made a part hereof as <br />specifications. <br />Contract: The proposal submitted by which, if approved by the County, along with <br />all documents identified herein, constitutes the entire bid package and <br />shall be basis to negotiate a contract between the County and the <br />Contractor. <br />Bids: The offer or proposal of the bidder submitted on the prescribed form <br />setting forth the prices for the work to be performed. <br />Bonds: Bid. performance and payment bonds and other instruments of security, <br />Responsible Agent. The duly authorized representative of the Board of Commissioner, <br />Solid Waste Disposal District during the contract period. <br />2. CONTRACTOR'S LIABILITY INSURANCE R.EQU IREMENTS <br />2.1 Workers' Compensati¢rr r to meet statutory limits in compliance with the Workers' <br />Compensation Law of Florida. This policy must include Employers Liability with a limit <br />of $100,000 for each accident. $500,000 disease (policy limit), and 100,000 disease (each <br />employee). <br />8 <br />
