THE CHAIRMAN CALLED FOR THE AMENDED MOTION. The Motion <br />failed 2-2, Commissioners Eggert and Macht opposed. <br />A MOTION by Commissioner Eggert, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Tippin, to approve staff's original <br />recommendation failed 2-2, Commissioners Adams and <br />Macht voting in opposition. <br />Attorney Vitunac advised that since Commissioner Eggert is <br />saying that she could live with Wal-Mart being allowed internal <br />temporary use permits, that is another option. <br />MOTION WAS MADE by Commissioner Tippin, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Eggert, to approve staff recommendation <br />to approve the rezoning subject to conditions with <br />the exception of Condition #6 which would allow Wal- <br />Mart temporary sales and require a 150 -ft. setback. <br />from.SR-60. <br />Under discussion, Commissioner Macht asked for clarification <br />on the traffic light. <br />Chairman Adams explained that the traffic light is under the <br />control of the FDOT, but Commissioner Eggert interjected that the <br />approval includes Wal -Mart's payment for the light and the <br />monitoring. <br />Attorney Vitunac noted that Wal-Mart put up $10,000. <br />Chairman Adams understood that this calls for payment of the <br />monitoring, but Commissioner Eggert pointed out that they asked for <br />a percentage of the cost to be spread out. <br />THE CHAIRMAN CALLED FOR THE QUESTION. The Motion <br />failed by a 2-2 vote, Commissioners Adams and Macht <br />voting in opposition. <br />Discussion ensued about tabling this item for one week so that <br />it may be heard before a full Board, but Commissioner Macht said he <br />would try a Motion. <br />59 <br />OCTOBER 1, 1996 900K 99 KEW <br />
