William G. Collins II - Deputy County Attorney <br />DATE: September 18, 1996 <br />SUBJECT: Resolution Accepting a Conservation Basement and Assessing Same <br />Pursuant to Section 193.501, Florida Statutes <br />In October of 1995, Donald and June LaFountain granted a conservation <br />easement to Indian River County so that their development project could move <br />forward. <br />Mr. and Mrs. LaFountain have now requested that the lands under that <br />conservation easement be assessed according to its present restricted use. <br />In this regard, the attached Resolution has been prepared. <br />RECOMMENDATION• <br />Authorize the Chairman of the Board to execute the attached Resolution, and <br />the Clerk to send a certified copy of same to the Property Appraiser. <br />Deputy County Attorney Will Collins reported that the trees <br />were intact per an inspection that was done yesterday. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Eggert, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Tippin, the Board unanimously (4-0, <br />Commissioner Bird absent) adopted Resolution 96-124, <br />accepting a conservation easement from Donald & June <br />LaFountain and assessing same pursuant to Florida <br />Statutes. <br />74 <br />OCTOBER 1, 1996 <br />
