• <br />O <br />The Contractor shall furnish at its own expense such stakes, templates, platforms, equipment, <br />tools and material, and all labor as may be required to layout and execute the work. It shall <br />t be the responsibility of the Contractor to maintain and preserve all stakes. If such stakes and <br />marks are destroyed by the Contractor (or through its negligence) prior to their authorized <br />removal, they shall be replaced by the Contractor. Most importantly, the top elevation and <br />width of dune shall be achieved per the provided construction drawings. If problems arise <br />during construction regarding site conditions that preclude the dune configuration per the <br />permitted drawings, the Contractor shall notify the Engineer immediately <br />accordingly.discuss <br />alternatives. Once approval is granted by the Engineer, work may proceed <br />is <br />9. Construction Access/Stockpile Areas <br />The Contractor may use existing roadways for access and may use storage areas as approved <br />by the Engineer. Existing beach/dune topography and vegetation shall be disturbed only to <br />a minimum extent necessary for construction and construction access and other authorized <br />activities. <br />t Construction access will be carefully coordinated between the Contractor and Engineer. <br />Several access points will be required for each site location with written consent provided <br />from the respective property owners(s) prior to commencement. <br />i 10. Work Area <br />The construction limits available to the Contractor for accomplishing the work are shown on <br />i the plans. The Contractor shall accomplish the work in such a manner so as to minimize <br />t, disruption to the general public and vehicular traffic. The Contractor shall make whatever <br />provisions are necessary to ensure public safety within the Contractor's access, storage and <br />work areas; such provisions shall include lights, where appropriate. <br />1. <br />11. Fence <br />The Contractor shall maintain a construction fence around the staging and storage areas. This <br />fence shall provide a barrier to deter public access to construction area. Maintenance of <br />fences shall entail repairs to the fences as may be required by activities of the Contractor in <br />conjunction with performance of the work. <br />12. Project Sign <br />I . The Contractor shall furnish, install and maintain a project sign at the work site as shown in <br />the construction plans. The sign shall be of the format, style and minimum size indicated on <br />the sketch at the end of these specifications. The sign shall be neatly and sturdily constructed <br />i. and shall be securely erected in a workmanlike manner to support the sign properly for the life <br />of the contract. Upon completion of construction, the Contractor shall remove the sign and <br />dispose of the sign (as designated by the Engineer). All costs connected with the furnishing, <br />installation, maintenance and removal (including storage or disposal) of the sign shall be <br />included in the total contract price for mobilization/demobilization. <br />13. Permits and Licenses <br />The County has obtained the Department of Environmental Protection permit and is included <br />as part of the bid documents. Any other permits and licenses required for the work shall be <br />secured and paid for bythe Contractor. Copies of all certifications, licenses, and permits <br />obtained by the Contractor shall be provided to the Engineer prior to commencement of the <br />work. As part of the bid, the Contractor shall submit evidence satisfactory to the County that <br />' TP 3 <br />
