N, P.E. <br />AND STAFFED CAPITAL P E TS INEER <br />BY: DEPARTMEM LITY SERVICES <br />SUBJECT: HAMMOCK LAKES SUBDIVISION DEVELOPER'S AGREEMENT <br />BACKGROUND <br />Attached is a proposed developer's agreement with Hammock Lakes <br />Limited Partnership for reimbursement of offsite utility <br />construction. The construction consists of a 12 -inch water main on <br />1st Street, SW (Master -planned) and a 6 -inch force main on 1st <br />Street, SW and Kings Highway, which is sized to serve the <br />surrounding area, and is shown on Exhibit A of the attached <br />developer's agreement with cost-sharing covered in the agreement <br />under Exhibits B through D. <br />ANALYSIS <br />As stated, Exhibits B, C, and D of the attached agreement identify <br />the cost-sharing between the developer and the County. A summary <br />of cost-sharing is as follows: <br />Wastewater Force Main <br />Developer's share $63,852.29 <br />County's share 94.590.11 <br />Total Project Cost $158,442.40 <br />Water Main <br />Developer's share $29,250.00 <br />County's share 82.837.80 <br />Total Project Cost $112,087.80 <br />The construction of this system will assist the County in expanding <br />the water and sewer systems as outlined in the County Master Plan, <br />as well as allow the owner's property to be developed. The total <br />estimated cost to the County of $177,427.91 will be paid from the <br />Utilities impact fee fund. The subdivision will purchase 206 ERUs <br />of water and sewer capacity for the project, equating to a total <br />dollar value of $848,926.00 in impact fee funding. <br />The staff of the Department of Utility Services recommends that the <br />Board of County Commissioners approve the developer's agreement as <br />presented and authorise the chairman to execute same. <br />NOVEMBER 12, 1996 115 BOOK 99 mf, E 7 SO <br />
