A TRUE COPY
XIV. RFC2544 Ethernet Test CERTIFICATION ON LAST PAGE
RYAN L. BUTLER, CLERK
Description
The purpose of this test is to demonstrate the radio links will pass RFC2544 testing based on the test
parameters below.
Instructions
1. Setup:
a. Select Tests: Throughput.
b. Select Frame length to Test: 64, 128, 256, 512, 1024, 1518 Bytes.
c. Radio Capacity (L2 Mbps) set to 155 Mbps
2. Latency (RTD)
a. Number of Trials: 5
b. Trial Duration (seconds): 60
c. Latency (RTD) Threshold (us): 20000 (Show Pass/Fail status = checked)
d. Latency Bandwidth (%): (90)
3. Frame Loss
a. Test Procedure: RFC 2544
b. Trial Duration (seconds): 30
c. Bandwidth Granularity (L2 Mbps): 10
4. The In -Factory test will be done in a compressed manner. Testing will be performed per
Hop for a shortened period of time. During Field testing it will be run for 24 hours on
each hop as they are established
5. Connect the Ethernet test set to the "Near End" MNI Radio ETH 1 port and to the "Far
End" ETH1 port of the link. Verify the Ethernet test set is "Green" and commence the
test.
6. Start the test and let it run to completion. (this takes about 45 minutes in total)
7. Record the RFC2544 test results.
8. Normalize all the connections.
Result
The test will be deemed passing if the network runs error free for the duration of the test and all RFC2544
levels show passing. A printed copy of the test results will be extracted from the test equipment and printed
for record.
Page 30 of
