Control of the Administration Office that SWDD currently occupies at the Indian River County <br />Landfill site. <br />8. Operation of the Yard Waste Facility Marketing of the recyclable materials, processing of the clean <br />concrete, and metals & white goods, to include the removal and hauling of the materials from the <br />Indian River County Landfill site. <br />9. Operation of the Leachate Evaporation System. <br />10. Maintenance, renewal, modifications, and applications for new permits as necessary concerning <br />the Class I Landfill and Ancillary Services. <br />11. Responsibility for designing and constructing new landfill cells and the expansion of the landfill as <br />needed to ensure adequate disposal space is available. <br />12. Responsibility for providing financial assurance for closure and post closure care of the Indian <br />River County Landfill. <br />13. Sampling, testing, and reporting required by the various permits will be the responsibility of SWDD. <br />The Contractor shall ensure that any third parties contracted with SWDD has access to all areas <br />of the Indian River County Landfill to carry out their duties. The Contractor shall assist in sample <br />collection and testing at the request of SWDD. <br />14. Management of the leachate collection, transmission and storage system including collection pipe <br />cleaning, pump station management, and storage tank inspections. <br />Article 7. Hours of Operations <br />7.1 Hours of Operation <br />The Indian River County Landfill shall be operational seven (7) days per week from 7:00 AM to <br />5:00 PM EST except the following holidays: New Year's Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, <br />Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day. The Contractor shall have the Landfill ready to receive loads <br />of waste thirty (30) minutes prior to the site's official opening operating hour. <br />7.2 Changes in Hours of Operations <br />At the request of the SWDD, the Contractor shall provide additional operational days and/or <br />extended hours at the Landfill in response to holidays, special events, and natural disasters. <br />Modifications related to natural disasters will be relayed to Contractor from the SWDD during <br />preparations for any anticipated event or immediately upon need for unanticipated events. <br />Article 8. Inspections, Recordkeeping and Reporting <br />8.1 Inspections <br />8.1.1 Contract Manager shall attend regularly scheduled monthly inspections with the SWDD <br />representative. These inspections shall cover operational and maintenance services <br />required by Contractor. Documentation of inspection reports completed by SWDD shall be <br />submitted to Contractor within three (3) business Days. Contractor shall retain all <br />completed inspection reports for recordkeeping purposes over the Agreement term. SWDD <br />retains the right to request additional inspections and to perform inspections without <br />Indian River County Landfill Operating Agreement Final Page 19 of 42 <br />
