A TRUE COPY <br />CERTIFICATION ON LAST PAGE <br />RYAN L.. BUTLER, CLERK <br />31.02 PROPER FILLING OF AND DISTRIBUTION OF ADDITIONAL HOURS <br />A. All distribution of additional hours will be in accordance with Departmental <br />policy. Such policy will be created and updated for operational need by the <br />Administration. In the event that mutual agreement cannot be reached, the Fire <br />Chief retains the management right to make a final determination. <br />B. The Fire Chief may authorize a special event assignment when needed under <br />special circumstances. The staffing of these events will be handled as outlined <br />in Article 31. Mandatory assignments of (4) four hours or more pursuant to this <br />subsection (D) shall be considered an occurrence of mandatory coverage and <br />the affected employee shall be placed at the bottom of the eligibility list. If an <br />employee on mandatory assignment finds a coverage approved by the shift <br />command, then both employees will move to the bottom of the list. <br />31.03 CALL -OUT AND PREARRANGED SCHEDULING <br />A. When an employee is required to report for work at a time other than the <br />employee's regular work schedule, it shall be considered: <br />1. A call -out, if the employee has less than twelve (12) hours' notice <br />by the Fire Chief or authorized representative; or <br />2. Prearranged coverage if the employee has twelve (12) hours or more <br />notice. <br />B. On a call -out, the employee shall be paid a minimum of three (3) hours at <br />time and one-half as time actually worked, except that if the employee is <br />called out before the employee's regular starting time and works through the <br />employee's regular work period, then only time actually worked shall be <br />allowed. Time shall start at time of initial contact (unless the employee fails <br />to report to work within a reasonable period of time after contact, <br />
