CHANDLER <br />COUNTY ADMINISTRATOR <br />TERRANCE G. <br />DIRECTOR OF <br />WILLIAM F. <br />CAPITAL PF <br />CES <br />PW P.E. <br />ENGINEER <br />UTILITY SERVICES <br />CONTINUING SERVICE SURVEY WORK IN EXCESS OF <br />$10,000.00 CONTRACTS <br />INDIAN RIVER COUNTY PROJECT NO. UW -96 -15 -DS <br />On October 15, 1996, the Indian River County Board of County <br />Commissioners authorized staff to proceed with contract <br />negotiations with the three successful survey firms; Masteller and <br />Moler, Inc., Carter Associates, Inc., and Kimbley Horn, see <br />attached agenda item and minutes. We have completed the <br />negotiation process and are requesting Board signature on the <br />contracts. <br />ANALYSIS <br />Contracts have been executed by the above -referenced firms. The <br />format of the contracts is essentially the same as in previous <br />years. The firms will be put under contract for survey work in <br />excess of $10,000.00 on a rotational basis per the above listing. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />The staff of the Department of Utility Services recommends that the <br />Board of County Commissioners approve the attached contracts as <br />submitted and authorize the Chairman to execute same. <br />Chairman Adams questioned the insurance mentioned on the <br />Request for Proposal and the insurance certificates, and Capital <br />Projects Engineer Bill McCain advised that they are all insured for <br />$1 -million professional liability. <br />Chairman Adams directed Mr. McCain to check the figures in the <br />errors and omissions insurance and provide copies of the insurance <br />certificates to the Board. <br />70 <br />DECEMBER 3, 1996 BOOK 99 UCE[M6 <br />
