Boor 99 F�nFJ047 <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Eggert, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Ginn, the Board unanimously approved <br />the three contracts with the condition that $1 - <br />million professional liability insurance is in place <br />on each contract and the contracts speak to the <br />same. <br />CONTRACTS _ PLACED ON FILE IN THE OFFICE OF THE <br />CLERK TO THE BOARD <br />RFP NO. 6073 - MAINTENANCE OF WATER STORAGE TANKS - <br />GIFFORD, ROSELAND AND KINGS HIGHWAY <br />The Board reviewed the following memo dated 11/22/96: <br />DATE: NOVEMBER 22, 1996 <br />TO: JAMES E. CHANDLER <br />COUNTY ADMINISTRA <br />FROM: TERRANCE G. PINT <br />DIRECTOR OF UTI ERVICES <br />PREPARED GENE A. RAUrA <br />AND STAFFED MANAGER OF ER AND WASTEWATER OPERATIONS <br />BY: DEPARTMENT OF UTILITY SERVICES <br />SUBJECT: INDIAN RIVER COUNTY RFP NO. 6073 - MAINTENANCE <br />OF WATER STORAGE TANKS, GIFFORD, ROSELAND AND <br />KINGS HIGHWAY <br />BACKGROUND <br />On June 6, 1996, the County received three (3) responses to a <br />Request for Qualifications and Proposals (RFP) on the above - <br />referenced project. On October 30, 1996, presentations were made <br />to the Staff Selection Committee. The selection process was <br />finalized and the Department is now prepared to proceed with <br />contract negotiations. <br />ANALYSIS <br />The following firms submitted proposals for this RFP: <br />1. Eagle Tank Technology and Renovation <br />2. Utility Service Company, Inc. <br />3. Tank Engineering and Management Consultants, Inc. <br />The firm of Utility Service Company, Inc., was unanimously selected <br />by the Staff Selection Committee. A copy of the firm's proposal is <br />on file in the Board of County Commissioners office. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />The staff of the Department of Utility Services recommends that the <br />Board of -County Commissioners authorize the staff to proceed with <br />the negotiations for a contract for the maintenance of our water <br />storage tanks with the firm of Utility Service Company, Inc. <br />71 <br />DECEMBER 3, 1996 <br />
