1 <br />1 <br />1 <br />0 <br />Whereas# under the provisions of Chapter 15648 Picts of the Florida legislature of <br />1931 the highways in said county crossing said bridgesi and of which said bridges are a <br />part, were duly designated as state roads, and it is therefore possible for the main- <br />tenaaoe of said <br />bridges to be taken <br />over by the <br />State Road Department upon resolution <br />duly adopted by <br />the said State Road <br />Department; <br />therefore# <br />Be It Fesolved that the Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County does <br />herewith request the State Road Department to adopt such resolutions and tame such aotiol$ <br />as may be nooessary Sae order that said State Road Department take over for maintenance <br />the said bridges, namely, the bridges orossing the Indian River in said County at Vero <br />I <br />Beach, Winter Beach and Rabasso, respectively, and that upon so taking over said bridgesi <br />the said Road Departmen$ continue to maintain the same and that such action be taken at <br />the earliest possible moments in view of the immediate necessity for proper maintenance <br />of said bri Use <br />Be It; Burtbar Resolved that the clerk of the Board be instructed to transmit a cor- <br />tified copy of this resolution to the State Road Department at Tallahassee# Florida, and <br />a certified copy thereof to the Hon, Wo P. M00ty, Member of the State Road Department <br />from this district, and that the officers of this Board be authorized and instructed to <br />do any and all <br />acts necessary to the carrying out of <br />the provisions <br />of this resolution. <br />The above <br />resolution was duly seconded and upon <br />being put to a <br />vote the same was <br />unanimously adopted. <br />It was moved, seconded and carried that the question of placing tolls on the <br />Vero Beach; Winter Beach and Wabasso Bridges be deferred and no tolls be oolleoted on <br />said Bridges until beginning January let 1934* <br />The foregoing resolution was introduced by Commissioner 8. R Mudge. <br />Whereas, at the -time of the freezing of deposits of :Farmers Bank of Vero Reach <br />there was on deposit therein to the credit of Wo V.-Miott, as County Treasurer ex offici <br />of Indian River County$- Florida, the sum of $6#01784770 ,118;?%, which said sum erose from tax <br />collections in said county for the interest and sinking funds of special tax districts <br />therein; <br />H©w+ therefore, be it resolved by the Board of County Commissioners of Indian River <br />Countyā€˛ Florida, that this Board does hereby recommend to the State -Board of kdministra- <br />tion that in order to liquidate said frozen deposits that said Board of Administration <br />aceept any bonds of any maturity of indiaa River County, Florida, or Its special tax dis- <br />trioter in settlement and liquidation of the said deposit in the said bang, <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded and upon being put to a vote was uneni- <br />moasly. adopted <br />The foregoing resolution was introduced by Commissioner R Br Mudge: <br />1hereas, at the time of the freezing of deposits in the Farmers Bank of Vero Beach <br />there was on deposit therein to the credit of G. R. Olmstead, Tax Collector of Indian <br />giver Bounty the an of $25,564653; to the credit of Indian River county general into; <br />and distract account the sem of $?,189*65; all. of Which accounts are under the juris- <br />diction of this Board; <br />How, therefore$ be It resolved by the Board of County Commissioners of Indian River <br />County, Florida# that the above accounts be liquidated with the .Farmers Bank of Vero <br />Beach by the acceptance by this Board of any obligations of any maturity of Indian River <br />County or any of its special taxing districts, which shall be accepted by this Board at <br />par In the settlement and liquidation of the said aocounts6 <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded and being put to a vote was unanimously <br />adopted,, <br />
