11A DUNES COURSE GREENS' RENOVATIONS - CHANGE ORDER #1 <br />The Board reviewed a Memorandum of April 14,1997: <br />Date: April 14, 1997 <br />To: Honorable Board of County Commissioners <br />Thru: James E. Chandler <br />County Adminjstral <br />From: Bob Komaridrdfor of <br />Subj: Dunes Cours&&eens' Renovations - Change Order Number 1 <br />BACKGROUND <br />On Tuesday, March 18, 1997, the Board approved a contract with Tifton Golf Services for <br />renovation of greens on the Dunes Course at a cost of $289,972.50. After further review and with <br />construction cost less than the budgeted dollars, staff and the architect feel the following changes <br />should be made while the contractor is on site and the course is closed: <br />TEEM. DESCRIPTION <br />COST <br />I Provide labor for installation of new irrigation heads around greens. <br />$12,000 <br />This will make irrigation of those areas more efficient and affective. <br />2 Add and mix sand (provided by owner) around a three foot perimeter <br />-0- <br />of new greens. Will provide better drainage for the greens. <br />3 Hole No. 3- (a) Shape and recontour green side bunker on left. For <br />750 <br />aesthetic purposes. <br />(b) Reshape bunker on right and add drainage. For better <br />750 <br />drainage. <br />(c) Increase green size by 800 sf. Resize surface to original <br />2,400 <br />dimensions. <br />4 Hole No. 9 - Increase green size by 700 sf. Resize surface to original 2,100 <br />dimensions. <br />5. Hole No. 15 - Add Bunker to right of green and recontour. Reduce a 750 <br />severe slope and speed up play. <br />6. Hole No. 17 - Remove concrete cart path and grass with fairway 500 <br />Bermuda. Enhance playability and redirect cart traffic. <br />7. Hole No. 18 - Remove concrete cart path and saw cut approximately 500 <br />30 feet. Enhance playability and redirect cart traffic. <br />8. Construct Tifdwarf grass nursery green near maintenance complex. To 500 <br />make sod available for future green repairs. <br />9. Construct practice bunker at renovated putting green. To improve 750 <br />practice area for customers. <br />10. Hole Nol. 18 - Add approx. 100 lineal ft. of 4" pipe for drainage to 350 <br />canal. Recommended by architect. <br />TOTAL $21,350 <br />MAY 69 1997 80 <br />
