Napier, SRPA, SRA,' <br />Right -of -Way Agent <br />SUBJECT: Oslo Road Right-of-way Acquisition <br />58"' Avenue Improvements /Oslo Road to 26"' Street <br />Parcel No. 135, Helseth, Offutt, and Helseth (Co -Trustees) <br />1-!14--i--1121tekel. e. <br />-11 <br />Seventy feet (70') of additional right-of-way is needed on Oslo Road for road widening and <br />pavement transition to the proposed new bridge at Oslo Road and 58"' Avenue in conjunction <br />with the 58"' Avenue Paving Improvements Project form 261' Street to Oslo Road. <br />The property owner has executed a contract at a price of $16,000.00 per acre for the A-1 Zoned <br />land. This price per acre is comparable to other similar A-1 Zoned parcels the County has <br />purchased vAthin the market area based upon appraisals or evaluations. <br />The contract price is $16,832.00 for the 1.052 acre parcel. There are no appraisal or attorney <br />fees. <br />There is an existing artesian well which will have to be relocated or restubbed, and an irrigation <br />control gate structure which will have to be relocated at County expense. Relocation of these <br />items is part of the contract terms. <br />RECOMMENDATIONS AND FUNDING <br />Staff requests the Board of County Commissioners approve the $16,832.00 purchase and <br />authorize the Chairman to execute the contract. <br />Funding to be from Account #315-214-541-066.12 <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Ginn, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Adams, the Board, by a 4-0 vote <br />(Commissioner Tippin being absent) approved the $16,832 <br />purchase from Phillip R. Helseth, Sr.; Harry C. Offutt, III; and <br />Patsy Helseth as Co -Trustees and authorized the Chairman <br />to execute the contract, as recommended by staff. <br />CONTRACT IS ON FILE IN THE OFFICE <br />OF THE CLERK TO THE BOARD <br />11.G.2.
