EO�K. <br />4 <br />11.E. 1997/98 ANTI-DRUG ABUSE GRANT APPLICATIONS <br />The Board reviewed a Memorandum dated June 6, 1997: <br />TO: Members of the Board <br />of County Commissioners <br />DATE: June 6, 1997 <br />SUBJECT: 1997/98 ANTI-DRUG ABUSE GRANT APPLICATIONS <br />OFFICE OF MANAGEMENT AND BUDGET AGENDA ITEM <br />FROM: Joseph A <br />OMB Dir <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS <br />At the Board meeting on June 3, 1997 the Board of County Commissioners approved the funding for <br />the 1997/98 Substance Abuse Drug Grant. We now have the original grant applications ready to be <br />submitted to the state for the following agencies: IRC Adolescent Substance Abuse Counseling <br />Program and Aftercare Program, Multi -Agency Drug Enforcement Unit (M.A.C.E.), Teens Acting <br />Responsibly Global Education Troupe (T.AR.G.E.T.), and the Substance Abuse Council of Indian <br />River County. These applications are on file in the Board's office for the Board's perusal. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Authorize the Board chairman to sign the individual grant applications and other necessary related <br />documents for submittal to the state by the deadline of June 16, 1997. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Adams, SECONDED BY <br />Commissioner Macht, the Board unanimously authorized the <br />Chairman to sign the individual grant applications and other <br />necessary related documents for submittal to the State by June 16, <br />1997, as recommended in the Memorandum. <br />COPIES OF GRANT APPLICATIONS ARE ON FILE IN THE <br />OFFICE OF THE CLERK TO THE BOARD <br />52 <br />June 10, 1997 <br />
