Cox, P.E.41C <br />Civil Engineer <br />SUBJECT: Request for Floodplain Cut and Fill Balance Waiver for Lot i I and South 9.0 feet of <br />Lot 12, Block 12, Vero Lake Estates, Unit 2 <br />REFERENCE: Project No. 97060080 <br />DATE: July 17, 1997 CONSENT AGENDA <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDMONS <br />Mr. Franklin Ball has submitted a building permit application for a single family residence on the <br />subject property. The site is located in an AE special flood hazard zone, base flood elevation 22.2 <br />ft. N.G. V.D. In the attached letter from the applicant's engineer dated July 11, 1997, a waiver of the <br />cut and fill balance requirement is requested. The lot area is 1.14 acres. The volume of the 100 year <br />floodplain displaced by the proposed grading plan is estimated to be 1,189 cubic yards. <br />ALTERNATIVES AND ANALYSIS <br />The waiver request has been reviewed by staff and appears to meet the criteria of Section <br />930.07(2)(d)4. of the Stormwater Management and Flood Protection Ordinance for lots located in <br />the Vero Lake Estates Municipal Services Taxing Unit. <br />Alternative No. 1 <br />Grant the cut and fill balance waiver based on the criteria of Section 930.07(2)(d)4. <br />AUGUST 5, 1997 <br />
