Vitunac - County Attorney <br />DATE: July 30, 1997 <br />SUBJECT: Meeting Request <br />In connection with the Federal Telecommunications Act of 1996, Indian River <br />County, through its Telecommunications Coordinator Terry Smith, is in the <br />process of writing a telecommunications ordinance to establish policies and fees <br />for use of its rights-of-way. Mr. Smith has asked that I accompany him to the <br />National Association of Telecommunications Officers Annual Meeting at which <br />all these telecommunications issues will be discussed in depth. The meeting will <br />be held September 6-10, 1997 in Tucson, Arizona, and I request permission to <br />attend. There is sufficient money in our travel budget for this trip. <br />REQUESTED ACTION <br />Authorize the County Attorney to attend this meeting. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Adams, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Ginn, the Board unanimously approved travel for <br />County Attorney Charles Vitunac to attend the National <br />Association of Telecommunications Officers Annual Meeting <br />September 6-10, 1997 in Tucson, Arizona. <br />AUGUST 5, 1997 <br />
