The traffic capacity for the segment of U.S. 1 adjacent to this site is 2,654 trips (peak hour/peak
<br />season/peak direction) at Level of Service (LOS) "D," while the Total Segment Demand (existing
<br />traffic volume + vestal traffic volume) on this segment of U.S. 1 is 1,272 trips (peak hour/peak
<br />season/peak direction). The additional 126 peak hour/peak season/peak direction trips created by
<br />the most intense use of the subject area under the proposed amendment would increase the Total
<br />Segment Demand peak hour/peak season/peak direction trips for this segment of U.S. 1 to
<br />approximately 1,398.
<br />Based on the above analysis, staff determined that U.S. 1 and all other impacted roads can
<br />accommodate the additional trips without decreasing their existing levels of service.
<br />Table 2 identifies each of the impacted roadway segments associated with the proposed land use
<br />designation. As indicated in table 2, sufficient capacity is available in all of the segments to
<br />accommodate the projected traffic associated with the request.
